Three days of actions by the Chamber of Evros and the Light Hub

For three days Alexandroupolis is transformed into a hub of entrepreneurial thinking and innovation

Leading entrepreneurs, senior executives and academics with international activity will be in Alexandroupolis from 3-5 March to participate in the events organized by the Entrepreneurship Support Structure “Light Hub” of the Evros Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the main programme, parallel events open to the public will take place.

The Light Hub Series B teams are completing the first stage of the support programme and the distinguished guests will participate as mentors and judges in a series of activities related to the progress and development of the teams. Their task is to assess the progress of the teams in order to assess the degree and nature of further support from the structure.

Alongside the evaluation activities and in the framework of the Interreg SEA cross-border cooperation programme, Light Hub mentors will conduct training modules for groups from the American University of Bulgaria.

The three-day event starts with the 1st exhibition for sustainable fashion in Northern Greece, which will be open to the public, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Evros Chamber of Commerce and will host innovative businesses that apply sustainable textile and fashion models.

The President of the Chamber of Evros Christodoulos Topsidis said “the evaluation of the teams is the most important event of the support structure, hosting professionals and investors with admirable activity. These important people, who for the second time show us confidence, transform Alexandroupolis into a center of business thinking and contribute to the vision and effort to give Evros and our Region a new development perspective. A perspective based on new concepts and fresh ideas”. The President of the Chamber concluded his statement by adding “This three-day event is another step towards achieving the objectives of the “ATHENS 2021-2025: Investing in Knowledge” plan of the Evros Chamber, which aims to strengthen the position of the Evros Region in the knowledge economy by providing information, education and connectivity”.

The Entrepreneurship Support Structure is part of the operational programme “Eastern Macedonia and Thrace” and is co-funded by Greece and the European Union.
