The Municipality of Alexandroupolis visited the facilities of the Light Hub within the framework of the DIGI-INCLUSION, URBACT IV programme.
DIGI-INCLUSION is one of 30 action planning networks for the promotion of sustainable integrated urban development in cities across Europe. It consists of 252 individual partners from 28 European beneficiary countries and its mission is to enable cities to work together and develop integrated solutions to common urban challenges.
The network aims to fill the digital gap and promote digital inclusion not only by providing access to technology but by enabling people to develop the necessary skills to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the digital world.
In this context, representatives of the Municipality and of the programme got to know the premises and facilities of the Entrepreneurship Support Structure and were informed about its activities. In addition, they analysed the data of the region and discussed synergies that could arise in the future.
The Light Hub is the Entrepreneurship Support Structure created by the Evros Chamber of Commerce. It was included in the operational programme “Eastern Macedonia-Thrace” and is implemented with co-financing from Greece and the European Union.
