A Three Days of Entrepreneurship in Alexandroupolis

Alexandroupolis supports entrepreneurship

During the weekend of 3-5 March, Alexandroupolis hosted a series of events in the field of entrepreneurship. This initiative was organised by the Evros Chamber of Commerce and the Entrepreneurship Support Structure, with the aim of encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship in the region.

In addition to the main programme, the event included a series of events. Guests included leading entrepreneurs, senior executives and academics with international activity. As part of the programme they evaluated the Light Hub Series B teams completing the first stage of the support programme.

The distinguished guests participated as mentors, judges and their mission was to evaluate the progress of the teams in order to assess the degree and nature of further support from the structure.

The first day started with the 1st exhibition on sustainable fashion in Northern Greece which was open to the public, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Evros Chamber of Commerce, hosting innovative businesses implementing sustainable textile and fashion models.

At the same time, during the next two days, within the framework of the Interreg SEA Greece-Bulgaria Transnational Accelerator Program, Light Hub mentors held lectures and seminars covering various aspects of entrepreneurship, such as strategic planning, communication and marketing, to groups from the American University of Bulgaria. Participants also had the opportunity to take part in networking activities and meet entrepreneurs from different sectors.

The annual event organized by the Chamber and the Entrepreneurship Support Structure is very important for the region of Alexandroupolis and Evros, as it encourages the creation of new businesses and the development of existing ones. Moreover, as the President of the Chamber of Evros stated, “The development perspective is based on innovative concepts and ideas”. The three days of Light Hub activities were a significant boost to the effort to strengthen entrepreneurship in the region.
