MeetUp: Entrepreneurship meetings

The two meetings on entrepreneurship, with emphasis on the dialogue between experts and businesses, under the auspices of the Evros Chamber of Commerce, were completed in Orestiada and Alexandroupolis, on 31 & 1 November respectively.

Entrepreneurs, freelancers, business executives and future entrepreneurs from the local communities had the opportunity to learn through dialogue, the current trends and to be informed about issues of business establishment, financing and operation.

The event was attended by prominent speakers and experts, who shared their knowledge and discussed with the audience on important issues, bringing to the local community modern international trends in business and information on financing programmes in PAMTH. More specifically, the meetings were attended by the President of the Chamber of Evros, Christodoulos Topsidis, the Secretary General of the Municipality of Alexandroupolis Ioannis Bogdis and the Deputy Mayor of Orestiada Archontis Archondis.

During the meetings, the innovative “Green Accelerator” program of the Evros Chamber (Light Hub), in cooperation with Impact Hub Athens and the Google Foundation, was presented, which aims to support local businesses to operate with sustainable practices.

The business meetings were attended by Professor George Atsalakis, Rev. Dimitris Skourogiannis, Designer with international distinctions, Yannis Kessanlis, Economist and Executive of the Interim Managing Authority of AMTH, Petros Soukoulias, digital transformation expert and founder of SEEMS, Michalis Chavouzis, General Manager of Technopolis Thessaloniki and Dimitris Kokkinakis, manager of Impact Hub Athens.

This event was a unique opportunity for the business community of the region to collaborate, inspire and grow.

The event was held under the auspices of the Evros Chamber of Commerce and took place in cooperation with the partners of the cross-border cooperation project MarCh. The “MarCh” project is implemented under the INTERREG V-A Cooperation Programme “Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020” and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and national resources of the participating countries.
